Overview

With the introduction of a new furniture line, EDU 2.0, Bretford CEO Chris Petrick knew he needed a different strategy to selling. Bretford sales representatives needed to become consultants.

With that, Chris Petrick turned to me for help. I took it upon myself to dig deep into the new collaborative approach to learning and teaching and in early 2010, developed the first in a series of knowledge resources called Discovery Guide.

The guide was used, and is still used today, by readers to learn about trends and key concepts around active learning environments, as well provided a structure on how to implement change.

In addition to this guide, I kickstarted a webinar series with key thought-leaders on the same subject who shared their experiences on discovery and implementation.

This was the impetus for a new Bretford and how we positioned ourselves and became known as a leader with our research and resources on active learning.
